1. Anonymous Usage Data
OwnTheNarrative.com (herein refered to as OTN) reserves the right to collect anonymous usage data on visitors to the site. This information includes no personally identifiable information and is used strictly for features on the website such as the “Today’s Top Posts” and other similar features that may come in the future that use anonymous click data.
For our own benefit to see how the website is doing from a statistical standpoint, we also collect certain information as your: Operating System, web browser, internet service provider, screen resolution, and your country. None of these are linked to any user account or any other personally identifiable key. This information is collected to ensure that your experience on this site is continually improved.
None of this information will ever be sold to third parties.
2. Personally Identifiable Information
OTN utilizes user profiles in order to assign credit to posts. The only mandatory fields are a unique user name and email address. The providing of other information such as the “About Me”, social networking accounts, image and website are strictly left to the user’s discretion. In this case, OTN only collects what information is given.
None of this information will ever be sold to third parties.
3. Contact Via Email
OTN will never email you unless you specifically request we send you a communique in the form of a password reset or newsletter. Both are optional.
4. Post Content
The Administrators of OTN reserve the right to alter or remove of any post as they see fit. Instances of profuse profanity and egregious or accidental copyright enfringement are examples where a post may be changed or removed by an Administrator of the site.
If the user does not like the changes, there is a "Remove Post" option available to them at the bottom of the post's page.
If you are offended because of the content of another user's post, congratulations. You're offended. You don't have the right in this country to be free from offense. A recommendation is to leave a comment on the post that offends you and add to the debate.
5. Severability
A user can delete his/her account at any time by clicking the link that says “Remove Your Profile” in their user profile. Their account information will then be purged from OTN’s database. Their contributions in the form of blog posts, and comments will be retained in order to maintain the continuity of the site.
Should a user wish to sever all ties with OTN and remove all contributions and personal information, contact a site administrator.
